Business Process Optimization

The modern enterprise is constantly evolving. Don’t get left behind.

Enterprise function is a constant interplay of people, process, and technology. As circumstances evolve, leaders must reimagine the systems that keep their business running and growing — whether it’s new back-office tools and resource models or major shifts in customer experience.

Change is a good thing.

Technology will keep changing. How will your operations keep up? Theorem helps organizations stay ahead of the market and emerging tech, finding new efficiencies across a business unit or an entire enterprise.

With a  team of experts in every critical specialty — from artificial intelligence and design thinking to DevOps and DesignOps — we help you find the path towards a future that best  leverages your organization’s strengths and weaknesses.

Design with Intention.

Everything has a process. And your company’s processes naturally evolve over time. The question is: Are these systems intentionally shaped for maximum impact? Theorem makes sure the answer is yes.

Streamline Workflows

We are experts in efficiency. Theorem’s Business Process Optimization practitioners see opportunities for smoother, faster operations when no one else does.

Minimize Manual Work

Anything that can be on auto, should be on auto. If a process doesn’t need a human touch, we’ll point it out, and then design automation around it — so that your team can focus on the most important tasks.

How Business Process Optimization Works

01

Understand Current
Processes

  • Gather and consolidate existing documentation.

  • Interview teams to understand how things really work.

  • Create current state process flows.

  • Map out the good and the bad – the pain points and the things that work exceptionally well.

02

Imagine and Define the Future State

  • Factor in new technologies, capital constraints, and resourcing realities.

  • Form the project team.

  • Conduct process design workshops.

  • Build future state flows that are itemized by role and responsibility, tech integration, and the connections between processes.

03

Design New Flows and Narratives

  • Gather and consolidate existing documentation.

  • Build future state flows that leverage the the best of your current processes and meet your new standards

  • Define process owners and assign a Theorem business analyst.

  • Organize background information and build a comprehensive current state view with all relevant stakeholders.

  • Create current state process flows.

04

Change Management and Training

  • Create documentation on how and why processes are changing.

  • Design a communication strategy for leadership.

  • Hold webinars and information sessions to educate employees.

Discovery and Analysis

The Theorem team meets with stakeholders for a series of workshops to learn about their current workflow, set project goals, define the project roadmap and whiteboard high-level concepts. We then conduct interviews with different user types across the company to understand their challenges and learn about their individual goals for optimizing their workflow.

Design and Concepting

The Theorem team develops a comprehensive set of wireflows and wiremaps that envisions future state for core business system logic, workflows, and specifications. Process documentation and planning artifacts contain information like business process actors, jobs to be done, as well as detailed concepting for software, technology, and processes.

The lo-fidelity artifacts are then dialed up into high-polish assets that can be used for the purposes of gaining internal alignment and securing funding.
